3-Day Tanzania Safari Itinerary
This 3-day Tanzania safari offers an unforgettable journey through some of the country’s most iconic wildlife destinations. The tour combines diverse landscapes, rich wildlife encounters, and breathtaking scenery from savannah plains to volcanic craters.
Your adventure begins in Tarangire National Park, famous for its large elephant herds and ancient baobab trees. You will enjoy a full game drive through the park’s diverse habitats, where lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, and many bird species can be seen around the Tarangire River.
On the second day, you travel to the world-renowned Serengeti National Park, home to the Great Migration and vast open plains. Here, you experience thrilling game drives in search of predators such as lions, leopards, and cheetahs, as well as large herds of herbivores roaming freely across the savannah.
The final day takes you to the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Africa’s most unique wildlife areas. You descend into the crater floor for a chance to see the Big Five and a wide variety of animals in a natural enclosed ecosystem before returning to Arusha.

The itinerary
Your safari begins with an early departure from Arusha to Tarangire National Park. The park is well known for its large elephant herds, ancient baobab trees, and diverse wildlife. You will enjoy a full-day game drive exploring the savannah and river areas where animals gather to drink. In the evening, you proceed to your lodge or campsite for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, you travel through the scenic highlands and enter the famous Serengeti National Park. The park offers endless plains filled with wildlife such as lions, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, and wildebeests. You will enjoy an afternoon game drive across the vast savannah and experience the beauty of one of Africa’s most iconic parks. Dinner and overnight stay in Serengeti.
Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater and Return
On the final day, you depart early for the Ngorongoro Crater, one of the world’s natural wonders. You descend into the crater floor for a half-day game drive, where you may see the Big Five and many other animals in a unique enclosed ecosystem. After lunch, you drive back to Arusha, marking the end of your safari.
